Sunday Crafts (10am-noon):

The following craft activities will take place during July.

  • Sunday 1st – The summer has arrived and it’s time to visit the beach. Make a 3D ocean scene from a paper plate;
  • Sunday 8th – Have you ever been crabbing at the beach? Make a crab collage using muffin cases;
  • Sunday 15th – The Summer Reading Challenge begins next Saturday; make a monster bookmark to make sure you don’t lose your place!
  • Saturday 21st –Saturday 28th – It’s the day of the Summer Reading Challenge Launch Party and we’re designing new cartoon characters. You will yours be?
  • Sunday 29th – Saturday 4th August – Dennis the Menace and Minnie the Minx both wear striped jumpers. Design a new jumper for these cartoon characters from the Beano.

Activities are free. Parents must stay with under eights. There’s no need to book – just turn up and have a go.

Free BookStart Sessions — every Thursday including all School Holidays

These are free activities for pre-school children and their parents or carers. Why not come along and join Abby every Thursday for songs, rhymes and stories?

  • Tot Rock: action rhymes, songs and stories for toddlers, 9.45-10.15am
  • BabyBounce: songs and rhymes for babies, 10.30-11am

Free Story Time Sessions — every Friday 9.45-10.15am

This session combines stories and rhymes. All welcome. Why not pop along?

OTHER LIBRARY EVENTS

Lego Club Re-Launched - Every Tuesday afternoon (Term Time) from 3.45-4.45pm. We now have a volunteer who will lead this activity and each week will be a different theme What will you design? Parents must stay with under 8s. 03/07 World Cup Flags, 10/07 Dinosaurs and 17/07 Birds.

Wednesdays, July 4 and 18: Knit and Natter from 2.30pm.

£1 donation with tea, coffee and biscuits provided. New members very welcome. You don't need to knit, just pop along for a cup of tea and a natter.

Thursday, July 5: Afternoon Book Group 2.45pm; . They are currently reading Together by Julie Cohen..

Thursday, July 19: Evening Book Group 7pm; They are currently reading Animal Farm by George Orwell.

Donated Book/DVD Sale - Saturday 30th June – Sunday 15th July. All items are in very good or excellent condition and individually priced starting at 30p. All proceeds are going to Kesgrave Library Community Group, who are currently fundraising to purchase new shelving for the children’s area.
